Rules and Registration

Contestants must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.

Entry Fee
The entry fee for the contest is $20, if registration is done before March 24. (This registration fee must be paid before the night of the event.) The entry fee for the contest after March 24, including those who register the night of the event, is $25. Registration will end at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, before the contest starts.

Please note that once a contestant enters, the entry fee is considered a donation to the American Cancer Society and is thus nonrefundable

The contest will be made up of three rounds, in which each contestant will sing one song per round.

Using a 1-10 point system (with 10 being the best score), contestants will be judged on the following criteria:
  • song knowledge
  • stage presence
  • audience reaction

Members of the audience will also be able to vote by making monetary contributions in the name of a contestant. These votes will also be included in the contestant's overall score.

At the end of each round, the contestants' scores will be tabulated with the scores from the three rounds added for the ending scores. Contestants have the potential to earn 100 points in total. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be held.

The winner will receive 50 percent of the entry fees, with the remaining 50 percent going to the American Cancer Society.
